Snap Gallery ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Snap Gallery collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.

By using Snap Gallery, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

1. Photos and Videos

Snap Gallery requires permission to access your device's photos and videos so you can:

  • View images and videos

  • Organize albums

  • Search media

  • Edit or enhance photos

  • Create memories

  • Manage your gallery

  • Move files to Private Vault

  • Hide screenshots

  • Display storage usage

Your photos and videos remain on your device unless you explicitly choose to share them.

2. Camera

The Camera permission is used only when you choose to capture a new photo or video from within the app.

We do not access the camera without your permission.

3. Microphone

Microphone permission is required only when recording videos using the camera feature.

We do not record audio in the background.

4. Location

Location permission may be used to:

  • Display photos grouped by places

  • Show photo locations on supported devices

  • Organize memories based on location

Location data is read only from your media or when you grant permission. We do not continuously track your location.

5. Network Access

Internet and Network State permissions are used for:

  • Checking app updates

  • Loading online help or support pages

  • Displaying the Privacy Policy or Terms of Service

  • Sending optional feedback

  • Other online features you choose to use

6. Biometric Authentication

If you enable App Lock or Private Vault, biometric authentication (such as fingerprint or face unlock) may be used to securely unlock protected content.

Your biometric information is never collected or stored by Snap Gallery. Authentication is handled entirely by Android.

7. Storage Access

Snap Gallery requires storage access to:

  • Read your media files

  • Organize albums

  • Create folders

  • Move media

  • Delete media

  • Restore media

  • Save edited photos

  • Manage storage

On Android 13 and above, Snap Gallery uses Android's media permissions where applicable.

If your device grants the "Manage All Files" permission, it is used solely to provide advanced file management features such as moving, copying, renaming, deleting, and organizing media files across storage.

Information We Do NOT Collect

Snap Gallery does not:

  • Collect your personal photos or videos

  • Upload your gallery to our servers

  • Sell your personal information

  • Track your browsing activity

  • Collect contacts

  • Read your messages

  • Access your phone calls

Unless you voluntarily contact us for support, your media remains on your device.

Private Vault

Private Vault is designed to help protect selected photos and videos stored on your device.

Protected files remain on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.

Image Editing

Photo enhancement and editing features process images locally on your device unless a feature clearly states that it requires an internet connection.

App Lock

App Lock uses Android's built-in security features, such as PIN, password, pattern, or biometric authentication, to help prevent unauthorized access to the app.

Data Security

We use reasonable security practices to help protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

Third-Party Services

Snap Gallery may use trusted third-party services for functions such as:

  • App analytics

  • Crash reporting

  • Customer support

  • App updates

These services process information according to their own privacy policies.

Children's Privacy

Snap Gallery is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law without parental supervision.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Choices

You can:

  • Grant or revoke permissions through Android Settings.

  • Delete photos or videos from your device at any time.

  • Disable location permission.

  • Disable camera or microphone permission.

  • Remove App Lock.

  • Clear the app's data or uninstall the app.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted within the app or on the page where this Privacy Policy is published.

The updated version becomes effective on the date shown at the top of this document.

Each permission is requested only to enable the corresponding feature and is not used to collect unnecessary personal information.
